Transferring your files and programs from one machine to another can be a pain. Thankfully, we've gotten it down to a science. Bring in your old machine and we'll move everything over for you. The best part? It's totally free with the purchase of a new computer. – The Team

Here's how our FREE Professional File Transfer service works:

  1. Bring in your old computer anytime (PC or laptop). We'll ask for any passwords we need to log in.

  2. When your new computer arrives in the shop, we'll transfer your files and programs over.

  3. Pick up both machines when we're ready.

It couldn't be easier!

We may not be able to transfer all programs over, for the simple reason that some of them (especially workplace- and school-specific software) require you to log in and download them again through a specific website. We'll make a list of any that we weren't able to transfer so you can get up and running again quickly.

NOTE: This offer only applies to new computer purchases through Alpena Computer Repair. If you're bringing your own computer, file transfer is normally a $50-$75 service.
